Associate Software Consultant Job, Viewpoint Construction ...

The Associate Software Consultant is a developmental position designed to prepare employees for eventual promotion to the Software Consultant role. This position is responsible for supplementing the implementation activities for the Software Consultants. It serves in a supporting capacity during the implementation to ensure that all targets and requirements are met and that projects are successfully completed. The successful candidate for this position will have a college degree in business, accounting, construction project management, training, or technology.

Requirements

The Associate Software Consultant works with multiple Software Consultants, focusing on tasks that support the customers implementation effort.

Provides some software application training services.

Verifies converted data by analyzing the data from customers current system and provide the oversight to ensure that the data is migrated correctly into Viewpoint.

Assists with setup and implementation of customers systems as directed by the Consulting Services Project Manager or requested by Software Consultants.

Tracks the progress of implementations using Microsoft Project.

Performs miscellaneous other duties as assigned.

Required:

College degree in accounting, finance, or business plus software industry experience that would provide the foundation for developing into the Software Consultant role. This might include customer support, implementation, sales or other role in which subject matter expertise may be developed.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices (e.g. payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, purchase orders, general ledger)

Must be able to consistently perform assigned work within established deadlines.

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.

Up to 25% Travel is required for this position. A valid drivers license and ability to qualify for a US Passport are required. Also required is the ability to qualify for a company credit card or possession of a personal credit card with sufficient limits to charge travel expenses

Preferred:

Subject matter expertise in one or both of the following areas:

- The understanding of general project management practices as it applies to ERP software implementations.

- Construction project management principles and practices (e.g. project set-up via estimate, project buy-out, project documents, project change orders, job costing, job billing).

Project management experience with ERP software implementations.

Familiarity with the construction industry.
